Position Overview:
We are in search of a detail-oriented Junior Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will share our enthusiasm for educating others about environmental toxicants and will have a keen eye for producing and refining high-quality content.
Responsibilities:
- Review, edit, and proofread articles to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to our editorial guidelines.
- Work closely with the Editor-in-Chief to improve content, prioritizing readability and SEO.
- Stay updated on the latest research and trends related to environmental toxicants.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in SEO and website publishing.
- Ensure all content aligns with our mission and vision.
- Handle miscellaneous editorial tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Personal passion for the topic of environmental toxicants.
- A zest for writing, editing, and crafting content that is thorough and research-backed, while also understandable for the layperson.
- At least 1-2 years of blog writing and/or editorial experience is preferred, especially in the environmental or health sector.
- Excellent attention to detail and command of the English language, with impeccable grammar and editing skills.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate efficiently in a team.
- Strong research skills and a passion for accuracy.
- A proactive approach to identifying and solving editorial challenges.
- Willingness to use software tools (such as Grammarly).
